I'm Andras Dietrich, a London-based commercial photographer and videographer specialising in food photography, brand content, and recipe development for hospitality and food brands.

My style is realistic and bold food that looks like food people actually want to eat. No over-styling, no artificial perfection. Just honest, appetite-driven photography that celebrates what makes great food great: quality ingredients, skilled craft, and textures you can almost taste through the screen.

What Defines My Style

Texture is Everything

I'm obsessed with texture, and it shows in every shot. The crunch of fried chicken coating. The pull of melted cheese. The glisten of the sauce catching light. The char on perfectly cooked meat. The flake of hand-laminated pastry. Every surface tells a story, and I make sure you feel it.

Ingredient Celebration

I don't hide what food is made of; I show it. Fresh herbs with their natural imperfections. Quality cuts of meat are displayed with confidence. Vegetables in their honest, beautiful reality. The craft and quality of ingredients are always front and centre because that's what great food is built on.

Mediterranean Soul

Even when I'm shooting British brands or global knife collections, there's a Mediterranean sensibility running through my work. The warmth. The boldness. The emphasis on fresh ingredients and craft. It's in my DNA, and it shapes how I see food as something to be celebrated, not just photographed.

Craft & Process

I love showing how food is made. Dough being stretched. Sauce being poured. Ingredients are being prepped with care. The human element in action, tools being used, connects viewers to the craftsmanship behind every dish. Food isn't just a final product; it's a process worth celebrating.

Where this all started

Before I picked up a camera professionally, I cooked professionally for a decade. Worked in 5-star hotels in the Mediterranean, trained by Italians with Michelin backgrounds.

All this base melted with London's vibrant food scene and a 3-year employment as a Head Chef for a Middle Eastern Royal family residence in London. I had the perfect experience to experiment and refine my style.

That background gives me something most photographers don't have. I understand food from the inside out. I know how ingredients behave, how they feel, and what is important to capture for a good story. Why does the chef do what they do.

I did write a cookbook about Mediterranean cooking with nutrionist and gut scientist called COOK SMART.

That hands-on knowledge feeds everything I shoot. It's not just about making food look good, it's about making your food connect.
